Innovative Minds Shine at 52nd Ward-Level Science Exhibition

From December 10 to December 12, Powai buzzed with excitement as young innovators took center stage at the 52nd Ward-Level Science Exhibition. Hosted at Milind Vidyalaya, this event was organised by the Brihanmumbai North Division, Education Inspector along with the ‘S’ Division Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools. It drew participation from over 80 schools, bringing together more than 600 budding scientists eager to showcase their ideas.

The theme of this year’s exhibition, “Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future,” inspired a wave of creativity and ingenuity among the participants. The event kicked off on December 10, with an impressive lineup of dignitaries gracing the occasion. Notable guests included Prof. Satish Vitta from IIT Bombay, Teacher MLA (Mumbai Division) Jagannath Abhyankar, Dr. Mushtaq Sheikh (Education Inspector, Brihanmumbai North Division), MLA (Bhandup Assembly) Ashok Patil, Sadanand Ravrane (Director, President Milind Vidyalaya), Bhakti More (Deputy Education Inspector, Brihanmumbai North Division), G. B. Khade ( Deputy Inspector of Education, North Division, S Ward), Santosh Kande (Asst. Deputy Inspector of Education, Brihanmumbai North Division, S Ward), HM of Milind Vidyalaya Rupali Ravrane and other key figures in the education sector.

Throughout the exhibition, ‘young scientists’ presented a variety of projects and experiments, each one a testament to the potential of science and technology in tackling the world’s pressing social and environmental issues. These projects were not just displays of technical skill but also reflections of deep thought and understanding of sustainability challenges.

The final day, December 12, was particularly special. It was dedicated to celebrating the outstanding contributions of these young minds. Students who excelled in their respective projects were honored by Prof. Ram Kumar from IIT Bombay and Dr. Mushtaq Sheikh. Their achievements were a source of inspiration, not just for their peers but also for the educators and leaders who attended.
