KIMIKSHA SINGH, an alumnus of SM Shetty School and College, Powai, and now a student of Khalsa College Matunga, has been felicitated for her excellence in sports. The honour ceremony was held at Balasaheb Thackeray Sports Complex in Borivali. Kimiksha was selected from among 200 players. She was felicitated by the hands of Member of Parliament Gopal Shetty and MLA Sunil Rane.
On this occasion, Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, BJP Mumbai President and MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar, Group leader and MLA Praveen Darekar, MLA Yogesh Sagar, and District president Ganesh Khankar were present.
Kimiksha Singh started kickboxing at the age of 12, training under the leadership of RFiT India. She has carved her name on many Gold Medals by breaking the winning path of her opponents and showing the brilliance of her tricks at the district level, state level, and international levels.
She excelled in the recently concluded Mayor’s Kickboxing Championships, Mumbai District and State Kickboxing Championships, and Kickboxing Championship organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Maharashtra State in 2022.
She also won a Gold Medal in the recently concluded Cyclothon at Kanjurmarg, Bhandup, Nahur in December 2022. She has trained Powai-based IIT Bombay students in Kick Boxing. All these things have been added to her work toward development.
Her concentration and consistent performance at such a young age have earned her an award for excellence in sports.
She has been equally supported by RFiT India along with her parents ensuring her zest for sports continues and has a good career path ahead.
