Students Lead the Charge for an Eco-friendly Diwali Celebration

In a spirited effort to advocate for environmentally conscious festivities, the ‘Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness’ (CMCA) recently orchestrated an “Eco-Diwali Campaign – Silent Rally” in collaboration with students from the Hiranandani Foundation School.

A vibrant crowd of approximately 120 students took to the streets of the Hiranandani complex, brandishing placards that called upon citizens to refrain from bursting crackers and to embrace their roles as proactive community members.

CMCA is renowned for its advocacy and support in enhancing civic participation and education among the youth, aligning with government initiatives. The organization’s programs delve into essential themes such as responsibility, respect, equality, gender values, personal integrity, harmonious living with nature, and active engagement with local authorities. Moreover, they emphasize the cultivation of crucial civic and 21st-century skills, including teamwork, empathy, and critical thinking.

With strong partnerships spanning government bodies and like-minded organizations, CMCA annually impacts over 1.7 lakh young individuals across 15+ cities and 4455+ villages, reaching out to more than 2400 institutions in Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. CMCA’s enduring relationships with government departments, educational bodies, donors, and educators underscore its formidable influence in fostering an informed and responsible future generation.
