The audacious burglary occurred at the Raj Grandeur building, where two masked thieves brazenly breached security and steal from a flat.
According to police, the Chaudhary family (name changed for privacy) residing on the 18th floor, returned home from work and find their apartment in disarray. Upon checking, they discovered that their cupboards was broken, and valuables worth ₹3 lakh were missing.
Powai Police have launched a thorough investigation under Section 303 (5) of the Bhartiy Nyay Sanhita. “We are analysing CCTV footage from the building and surrounding areas. The suspects have been identified, and we anticipate their swift capture,” an investigating officer told Avartan Powai.
The suspects, seen entering the building masked, are believed to be linked to a series of thefts in and around Powai. Powai police are working closely with local law enforcement to gather more intelligence on these notorious criminals.
Moreover, intriguing developments have emerged. The suspects were spotted loitering in a Mall in Hiranandani, raising suspicions about their next target. “We are investigating whether they were hunting for their next theft or making a purchase. This clue could be key in catching them,” added the officer.
As Powai residents remain vigilant, the police are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to bring these audacious criminals to justice.
