‘Shalu’, the world’s first artificial intelligence humanoid robot teacher made in India, is gaining popularity in other parts of the world too. Dinesh Kunwar Patel, a teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Bombay, has created a Shalu that can speak and understand 47 languages.
Patel was recently invited to the World CIO Summit 2022 held in Bangkok, Thailand. The World CIO Summit 2022 held from November 22 to 24, invited representatives from 40 countries working on Artificial Intelligence. where Patel got an opportunity to speak as a technical speaker. Meanwhile, Patel realized that his production ‘Shalu’ was more popular than him.
Shalu can speak and understand 9 Indian and 38 foreign languages. Apart from teaching the students well, she also answers their questions.
Patel was surprised to see that most of the people present there did not know about him but they knew about Shalu. People were also surprised to see how Patel was able to do the work that the big technology companies could not do even with all their resources.
Patel hails from Rajmalpur village in Uttar Pradesh. Patel has got the honor to come out of a small village and represent the country on the international platform. Patel wanted to take Shalu to the event, but it was not technically possible. So he showed Shalu’s recorded video to the people present at the event. Everyone present was very impressed.
Patel had the opportunity to address the world from the international stage during the opening ceremony of the ‘International Automation Expo 2022’ in the month of August.
