पवईत आत्तापर्यंत १७८ कोरोना बाधितांची नोंद; रिकव्हरी रेट ३८%

पवई परिसरात कोरोना बाधितांचा आकडा हा वाढत चालला असून, २१ मे पर्यंत पवई परिसरात १७८ लोकांचा अहवाल कोरोना पॉझिटिव्ह आला आहे. यात ६६ महिला तर ११२ पुरुषांचा समावेश आहे. या आकड्यात सर्वात कमी मार्च महिन्यात तर सर्वात जास्त ही मे महिन्यात कोरोना बाधितांची नोंद झाली आहे. दिलासादायक बातमी म्हणजे यात रिकव्हरी रेट हा ३८% वर पोहचला आहे. त्यामुळे नागरिकांनी घाबरून न जाता काळजी घेण्याचे आवाहन प्रशासनाकडून करण्यात येत आहे.

१६ मार्च रोजी पवईत पहिला बाधित आढळला होता. त्यानंतर त्याच महिन्याच्या अखेरीस अजून एक रुग्णाची भर पडली होती. तर एप्रिल महिन्यात ३१ कोरोना पॉझिटिव्हची नोंद झाली. मे महिना संपण्यास अजून एक आठवडा बाकी असून याच महिन्यात आत्तापर्यंत १४५ लोकांना कोरोनाची लागण झाली आहे.

या बाधितांमध्ये हिरानंदानी गार्डन्स ०८, आयआयटी मार्केट ७, आयआयटी मेनगेट समोरील परिसर १७, फुलेनगर आयआयटी मार्केटजवळ ४०, गणेशनगर (पंचकुटीर) ०१, चैतन्यनगर ०८, आयआयटी स्टाफ कॉर्टर्स (एसएम शेट्टी शाळेजवळील) ०२, आयआयटी बी – कॅम्पस १, लेकहोम १, मिलिंदनगर २१, न्यू म्हाडा ४, पवई विहार ३, रहेजा विहार ४, रामबाग ८, आरे कॉलोनी रोडवरील परिसर २३, साकीविहार रोड १, शिवभक्तांनी इमारतीजवळील चाळ १, टाटा पॉवर कॉलोनी १, तुंगा गाव २३, आदि शंकराचार्य मार्ग २ पॉझिटिव्ह मिळून आले आहेत.

कोरोना पॉझिटिव्ह मिळून येण्याच्या संख्येत मे महिन्यात मोठी वाढ झाली असून, केवळ २१ दिवसात १४५ लोकांना याची लागण झाली आहे. यातील पहिल्या आठवड्यात ३७, दुसऱ्या आठवड्यात ६६ तर तिसऱ्या आठवड्यात ४२ कोरोना बाधितांची नोंद झाली आहे.

रिकव्हरी रेट मोठा

पवई परिसरात कोरोना रुग्णाच्या संख्येत मोठ्या झपाट्याने वाढ होत असताना एक दिलासादायक बातमी म्हणजे बाधितांचा रिकव्हरी रेट सुद्धा मोठा आहे. आतापर्यंत आलेल्या अधिकृत आकडेवारीतून कोरोनामुक्त होणाऱ्या रुग्णांची टक्केवारी ३८% वर पोहचली आहे.

या व्यतिरिक्त मोठ्या प्रमाणात बाधित कोरोनामुक्त झाले आहेत, मात्र मिळालेले बाधित हे दाट लोकवस्ती असणाऱ्या चाळसदृश्य लोकवसाहतीत राहत असल्याने त्यांना नाविलाजास्तव अलगीकरण केंद्रातच ठेवले जात आहे.

७ कोरोना बाधितांचा मृत्यू

धक्कादायक बाब म्हणजे मिळून आलेल्या बाधितांपैकी आजपर्यंत ७ लोकांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. यात एक आयआयटी मार्केट जवळील फुलेनगरमधील व्यक्ती, एक आयआयटी मार्केट भागातील व्यक्ती, दोन तुंगागाव येथील तर उर्वरित ३ जण  हे आरे कॉलोनी मार्गावर असणाऱ्या लोकवस्तीत राहणारे आहेत. मृत पावलेल्या व्यक्तींमध्ये एक व्यक्ती तरुण असून, इतर सर्व हे ४५ वर्ष वयोगटाच्या वरील आणि ज्येष्ठ नागरिक आहेत.

178 Corona Positive Cases Registered in Powai so far; Recovery Rate 38%

Amidst the ongoing spread of COVID-19  in the upscale suburb of Powai; with 178 residents having tested positive of the Coronavirus (112 Men and 66 women as of May 21, 2020), the 38% massive recovery rate of these patients has been a breath of fresh air. The administration has appealed citizens to “take care and not panic!”

The first Corona positive patient was identified on March 16 in Powai. Following which another patient was identified at the end of the month. In April, 31 corona positive patients were identified in Powai. With Still a week to go into this month, the current data states that 145 people have tested positive of the COVID-19 this month.

These cases include Hiranandani Gardens (8), IIT Market (7), Opp IIT Maingate area (17), Phulenagar near IIT Market (40), Ganeshnagar (Panchkutir) (1), Chaitanyanagar(8), IIT Staff Quarters- Rane society, near SM Shetty School (2), IIT Campus, Powai (1), Lake Home (1), Milind Nagar (21), New MHADA(4), Powai Vihar (3), Raheja Vihar(4), Rambaugh(8), Aarey Colony Road area (23), Sakivihar Road (1), Slum Near Shiv Bhaktani(1), Tata Power Colony (1), Tunga Gaon (23), Adi Shankaracharya Marg (2).The number of corona-positive cases has risen sharply in May, with 145 people infected in just 21 days. Of these, 37 cases were reported in the first week, 66 in the second week and 42 in the third week.

Large Recovery Rate

While the number of corona positive patients in the Powai area is increasing day by day, the good news is that the recovery rate of the patients is also high. According to the official statistics so far received, the percentage of patients getting corona free has reached 38%.In addition to the 38% of COVID-19 patients who have recovered, residents living in Powai’s densely populated slum establishments have been kept in isolation wards.

7 Deaths

The shocking fact is that 6 of the 178-corona positive have died so far. One is from Phulenagar near IIT Market, one more from market area, two are from Tungagaon and the other three are residents of Aarey Colony Road area. One of the deceased was a youth and all the others were above 45 years of age and senior citizens.
