The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Wasim Phoplunkar, consultant Radiation Oncologist, Hiranandani Hospital. 41 breast cancer patients and survivors, guests, and trust volunteers participated in the event with energy and enthusiasm.
On this occasion, the well-known Consultant Radiation Oncologist Dr. Wasim Pophlunkar shared his wisdom with these women. It was a motivational talk to the cancer patients attending the event, whom he advised doing away with the thought of “why me” and urged them to look forward and move on. His words certainly added value to their lives. He left the audience mesmerized with his shayaris.
Art therapy is a tool that helps patients interpret, resolve, and express their emotions and thoughts. As part of the Women’s Day event, the Vasantha Trust organized an art therapy workshop.
Mrs. Bhagyashree Singh, a resident of Powai, conducted an art therapy workshop, helping the ladies to paint on denim bags. She made the activity lively and lovely, filling their lives with the colors of happiness.
The trust treated the ladies with snacks and gifted them Women’s Day hampers filled with goodies.
The Trust regularly conducts such events for cancer survivors and patients which helps boost their confidence and empowers them to find and express their hidden potential.
