GSS Students Took Rally to Promote Environment Friendly Diwali

On the rare occasions when students become teachers, it’s meaningful to stop and pay attention! On Saturday, 15 October students of Gopal Sharma School in Powai took out a rally in Powai area to promote eco-friendly celebration for Diwali. This special rally was organized by the students of CMCA (Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness) Club to encourage people to choose more eco-friendly celebrations this festive season.

CMCA conducts various awareness campaigns through school students which inspires children to become more aware and responsible citizens.

Banners like “Say no to crackers”, “Give out Children A Green Future”, Don’t use Plastic”, and Jab Diyon Se Ho Ujiara, To Kyo Lena Patakhon Ka Sahara (when Light comes from lamps, why take the help of firecrackers) were indeed sending a message that could not be ignored.

On October 21, students of Hiranandani Foundation School will also hold a rally to express themselves and share their ideas on how we all can make our festival more eco-friendly.
