YEPT’s ‘Women Achievers Awards’ celebrated a remarkable 20 years of empowering women

The ‘Women Achievers Awards’, hosted by the Young Environmentalists Programme Trust (YEPT) in association with Helping Hands for Humanity (HHH), were held at the YUHI Supreme Building in Hiranandani Gardens Powai. This prestigious event was a tremendous success, drawing women from various backgrounds to celebrate their accomplishments. Attendees were inspired by the stories of challenges overcome and victories achieved. The awards ceremony, now in its 20th year, was hosted by Elsie Gabriel, the founder of YEPT, and her dedicated team, with assistance from Anamika Sharma of HHH and her team.

The stage was filled with jubilation and inspiration as each deserving awardee stepped forward to be honored for their accomplishments. The Young Environmentalists Programme has always been a pillar of support for women, bringing them together from across the country and empowering them to make a difference. This event further highlighted the philosophy of women uplifting women, which has been the driving force behind their success for the past two decades.

The Women Achievers Awards were presented to numerous outstanding individuals, including Ami Ved, Rajool Sanjay Patil, Aparna Mondal, Archana Sharma, Rubina Akhtar Hasan, Raashi Bajaj, Arti Kansara, Naaz Batliwala, Dr. Shweta Puri, Dr. Ashwini Bhole, Amita Sah, Anita Singh, Vijaya Reddy, Sonia Chug, Neha Sharma, Seema Bapu Mane, Swati Mahacharan, Ruchika Agarwal, Neetha Shetty, Dilmeet Kaur, Moumita S., Yasmin Sayyed, Dhanalaxmi Poojari, Ranjitha Barman, and Shezeen Ansari. Their stories of triumph and resilience brought tears of joy to many at the Women’s Day celebration.

The United Nations has designated 2024 as the year to “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” emphasizing the need to address economic disempowerment. This year’s campaign theme, “Inspire Inclusion,” is perfectly aligned with the Women Achievers Awards ceremony. The award ceremony not only fulfilled this mission but also showcased the leadership of women in Powai, which has a ripple effect on the entire city and country.
