A thrilling football tournament organized by the Max Social Welfare Foundation brought together eight talented school teams in a spirited display of sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination. Among the competing teams were renowned institutions like St. Xavier’s School, Gyanmandir School, and Ideal School. Amidst tough competition, Powai English High School (PEHS) emerged victorious, lifting the championship trophy after an impressive series of performances in the preliminary, semi-final, and final matches.
From the very beginning, the PEHS team demonstrated exceptional coordination, discipline, and strategic play, setting themselves apart as strong contenders for the title.
The winning PEHS team was led under the strong captainship of Hayat Fakir (Grade 10), along with dynamic players Rushabh Pandagale (Grade 10), Rohan Tiwari (Grade 8), Mayank More (Grade 10), Akshat Shaikh (Grade 9), Saurav Mishra (Grade 10), Omkar Shetty (Grade 10), Ibrahim Shaikh (Grade 10), Kartik Yadav (Grade 10), Zaid Shaikh (Grade 10), and Abhinav Shahu (Grade 10). Each player contributed wholeheartedly, reflecting excellent teamwork and a shared commitment to victory.
This achievement is a proud moment for the school management and Trustee Mr. Prashant Sharma. Headmistress Mrs. Swati Joshi expressed her joy and pride, stating, “This remarkable victory reflects the dedication, discipline, and unity of our students. I congratulate the entire team for bringing glory to our school and for upholding the true spirit of sportsmanship.”
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the winning PEHS team was awarded the championship trophy and recognized for their outstanding performance. The tournament organized by the Max Social Welfare Foundation proved to be a memorable and impactful event, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and excellence among all participants.
