Young Visionaries from Powai English High School (PEHS) brought home accolades, shining brightly at the competitive events organized by the IIT Bombay Campus School & Jr. College. The competitions were held as part of the school’s “Swarna-Sampada” Golden Jubilee celebration, marking 50 years since its founding in 1976.
The highlight was the thrilling BotRaze – Race the Future competition, where the PEHS team secured an impressive second prize! Grade 9 students Shaurya Madane, Daksh Pandey, and Sachin Suthar engineered a sophisticated robot car controlled via a mobile app using Bluetooth.
Their bot skillfully navigated a challenging six-minute track that tested its capabilities with curves, narrow turns, hurdles, and varied terrains, proving their technical prowess and teamwork.
Other PEHS students also achieved notable success:
Sarthak Yadav from Grade 6A earned the third prize for his exceptional performance in a Role Play competition, where he brilliantly embodied the historical figure Chanakya.
Daksh Dalvi and Kaustubh Monde (Grade 8) received a Consolation Prize in the “Brain Boost Bonanza,” a demanding Science and Maths Quiz Competition, demonstrating their strong academic foundation.
These achievements reflect the school’s dedication to nurturing both technical skills and expressive talents. As the saying goes, “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out,” and these young minds are certainly proving the truth of that statement!
The entire PEHS community is proud of their students’ performance under the exciting competition theme, “Discover, Compete & Shine.”
