Bharat Vikas Parishad Powai Chandivali Branch Hosts Annual Oath Ceremony; Pledges Continued Social Service

In a significant move to strengthen its commitment to social welfare, the Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Powai Chandivali branch successfully organized its annual oath ceremony on the evening of Sunday, April 12, 2026. Held at Prasad Food Divine in Powai, the event served as a major milestone, bringing together dedicated members and distinguished guests to celebrate a year of service and plan for the future.

The function saw a high-profile gathering of leaders from the Parishad and the local community. The guest list included:

  • Mrs. Praveena Oswal, National Activity Member (Women’s Participation) from Satara.
  • Mr. Mahesh Sharma, West Region Joint General Secretary.
  • Mr. Avinash Dharmadhikari, Mumbai Konkan Prant President and retired ACP.
  • CA Simant Pradhan, Mumbai Konkan Prant General Secretary.
  • Mr. Ratan Sharda, renowned author and TV panelist.

Other notable attendees included Mr. Satyanarayan (Vice President, Tata Projects), Mr. Satish Jha (Sangh’s Seva Promoter), and various regional coordinators and finance secretaries.

The evening commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by a rendition of Samporna Vande Matram. Branch President Mrs. Dipti Jhanwar delivered the welcome address, emphasizing that collective action is the primary engine for driving meaningful social change.

Reflecting on the branch’s recent achievements, Secretary Mr. Girish Rajamani presented a detailed report of the activities conducted during the 2025-26 term. Finance Secretary Mr. Sunil Agrawal followed with an impressive presentation of the audited balance sheet and BITCO reports, ensuring transparency and accountability in the organization’s operations.

The core of the event was the official swearing-in of the members. Mr. Simant Pradhan administered the oath to the branch members, while Mr. Avinash Dharmadhikari oversaw the oath-taking of the newly formed Executive Committee. The leaders pledged to uphold the values of integrity, compassion, and community welfare.
